Afeka

One of the villa neighborhoods of North Tel Aviv, Afeka is divided up into northern Afeka, north of Keren Kayemet Street, and Southern Afeka south of it. The neighborhood is characterized by homes that have been there for years, along with large, new villas. Most of the lots are approximately 500 square meters, and zoned for the construction of single-family villas with an overall size of around 350 square meters. Typical residents are army veterans who received or bought the land many years ago, as well as new residents that arrived in recent years. The neighborhood has nursery schools, Beit Halochem (Soldiers Home), and - within walking distance - shopping center, schools, country club, playgrounds, cinemas, and public parks. Some of the desired streets in the neighborhood are: Hanoter, Hamishmar Haezrachi, Chaish, part of Hamitnadev Street, Chayl Hamishmar, and Shamir.
